Bonkers, I'm almost afraid to ask ?!...LOL. I put the feeder too close to my window, they are brazenly climbing up my window panes now, daring me to do something about it...lol. Think I'll have to move it out away from the window and hang it from one of my flowerpot hooks on the deck, where it's still close enough to see out my window.

just leave the window open Flc and let them in for breakfast..imagine the shots you could get then ! lol

Problem is, they just don't know how to share...lol. This peanutbutter bread is for the woodpeckers, I put the squirrel's food on the deck rail, but they want theirs and the woodpeckers bread too !

Great shot Flcrazy! Hillarious! A while back while on vacation, we were parked to go view some elephant seals. After we were done we got back in the car and had a little snack before we were off. There was a lady parked to our left and we noticed that she opened her door for something... There was a squirrel on her lap and she was feeding it a cracker and photographing it at the same time w her cell phone. It was too cute and funny! Even funnier was watching her try to get it out of her car. She eventually through a cracker out the door and it went for it.

Boy...., she was alot braver or dare I say (crazier), than I am....lol. You would have had you some once in a life time pics of her and that squirrel, if it would have latched onto her finger..lol

Love your caption, Flcrazy!!! For a long time all we have had here were black squirrels...but in the last two seasons...presto! ...we have greys again! I think they are the handsomest of the lot...but the little red guys are cute and saucy...and the blacks are sleek and cheeky, and ALL are entertaining! Squirrels are figuring quite prominently in the blogs these days! Thanks for the chuckle!

Thanks Avis, the little devils kept me entertained last winter.

When I was a little child, my father took me to a near wooded hill, to feed the red squirrels. They were nearly tame. I loved them. Why are they called little devils? I would enjoy to have a red one. ...??... or maybe, not??

Nelke, they are a very intelligent animal, when coupled with their insesent need to acheive a goal, it's sometimes viewed by humans as being mischevious trouble makers, that's where the 'little devil' reference comes in...lol. When they are dead set on having bird seed from peoples bird feeders, they almost always succeed regardless of how ingenous we think our squirrel proof birdfeeders are. They're really quite amazing to watch.
