Ahh lovely Swans , they are so elegant :o)

So majestic,

There were about 7 or 8 Tundra Swans sitting on the Thompson River the other day which flows through Kamloops. The river is frozen over and the SPCA were concerned for the swans which were frozen in the ice. So, they called out the Fire Department to come and help them free the swans from the ice. The swans watched the brave fire fighters gingerly crawling across the ice......the heroes on the way. When the fire fighters got within about 15 feet all the swans decided enough was enough and all took off leaving the poor firefighters laying in the middle of the frozen river looking rather miffed. LOL. It was on the news....very funny.
