31 Jan, 2009
No wonder he's big with that sort of lunch.
31 Jan, 2009
He he Gee - well at least they leave the little ones alone while feasting ! Aye Eileen we have a school behind us with one of those climbing frames - so it looks spooky when they perch on it.

Thanks Pp....No Ams...noone argues with these in our garden lol.Strangely they eat alongside tiny birds and all ignore each other.Dont think they dare make eye contact !
Lwv...your welcome anytime !

Yes Amy the pubs are getting even more competitive now with the credit crunch.Pensioners in the village can get a hot mealwith pudding Monday to Friday for less than a fiver...and huge meals they are too.Alot of them get a doggy bag and eat the contents the next day with a few extra veg !!!
31 Jan, 2009
LOL good old micro wave ... what do the doggies get LOL
31 Jan, 2009
How come the villan is always in black,
31 Jan, 2009
Amy...one old boy has a lovely little Jack Russell, and he shares both his lunch and doggy bag with him !...Lovely.
Interesting Ff...wonder what people would think of rooks and crows if they were pure white, and doves if they were black lol

Great photo again BB
1 Feb, 2009
I'm wondering where exactly he/she got that??? Were you cooking outside BB? .... :P
1 Feb, 2009
Oooh not in our weather Aleyna - we struggle to cook outside in the summer ! lol Hung in tree especially for them actually left overs that few others would be interested in and soon all gone so not left for days attracting pests.
1 Feb, 2009
He'd better go om a diet or he'll never fit into that birdbox.
1 Feb, 2009
Toto...lol
1 Feb, 2009
You take such great wildlife photos - I can't get close enough, or my camera isn't good enough, I suppose. :-(
1 Feb, 2009
Oh you are too kind Spritz...please keep on trying, sure you will get some pics when the weather improves !
1 Feb, 2009
Blimey, look at the beak he has. Lovely pic BB (as ever). I think its great that you love "All Creatures Great And Small". Have you seen the badger lately x
1 Feb, 2009
Hi dawn..sadly not seen badger recently...but keep putting peanuts in Cyrils bucket last thing, and theyre always gone by morning lol.heard the tawny owls last night calling to each other in the churchyard.Spooky !
1 Feb, 2009
Probably too cold for the badger to wander too far. Someone is having the peanuts though, hey. The Tawny Owls sound lovely, dont they. I slept with the window open the other night - even though freezing, just so I could listen for them. Heard him at about 6.15am.
2 Feb, 2009
Now thats what I call dedication Dawn ! Brrrrr
2 Feb, 2009
I know, I'm a bit mad, waited til John was on night shift so I didnt have to subject him to it - thank goodness for electric blankets!
2 Feb, 2009
That explains those long hours he does - oh remember those and really dont miss them , always nights or does he rotate shifts ?
2 Feb, 2009
Wow..., fantastic shot ! Definitely going to my favs ! Lordy, my birds would have a fit for such fabulous leftovers. Never have leftover bacon here, hubby's favorite, he'd bust his gut eating the last peice before he would throw it out...lol
3 Feb, 2009
Hi BB, John works 12 hours shifts - 4 on, 4 off, alternating days and nights - 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am :-( We like the off's lol
3 Feb, 2009
Hi Flc was it good the Steelers won or were you rooting for the Cardinals ?
Thought N Carolina team were the Cardinals ? I have to say y 'all know how to throw a party !
We Brits wheel out elderly guys no - ones ever heard of , then a distant relation to the Queen to greet the teams and try and sing a hymn no - one knows the words to ! Thats our entertainment.Mind you , Aretha nearly did that to you at The Inauguration !
Have loads of questions about American football but the most puzzling is in a game thats divided into 4 quaters of 15 minutes - my maths never brilliant but I make that an hours play. How is it they still playing 3 hours or more ! lol
Know how hubby feels Flc I have to follow my plate out to the garden as Jane hanging up those tit bits before I finish.Your squirrels do well though with their tasty buns and peanut butter as for those Fluffernutters what a fantastic name ! Who cares whats in them with a name like that brilliant.
Aww Dawn can see the attraction of the ' offs ' but boy those ' ons '
: ---------------------- ( - thats supposed to be a long face .lol
3 Feb, 2009
Great photo as usual BB, now the name of that Pub..........
3 Feb, 2009
Oh Dd nearly lost the thread there .... The Dennison Arms but a long way for you to travel for your Sunday lunch its cheap but dont think it ll cover your petrol expenses !
3 Feb, 2009
Jane's keeping you on your toes, where food is concerned, yea..?! Making sure you are burning off as much as you take in,with all the running back and forth to the yard...lol.
Think you would really like football, if you had a chance to learn all the rules. We would be glad to answer any of your questions. We were cheering for the Arizona Cardinals. It took 3 quarters, but they finally made a good game of it, nail biting ending....!!! Rog is going to give you alittle insight on the game of football, with all it's timeouts . I don't know how to word it, and it make any sense...lol
Hi Rogie here, well anyway it is really sorta crazy, you have tv time outs, referee review of plays, coaches can call time outs,3 per half, and if there is a incomplete pass time stops,if there is a change of possession time stops, after a punt, touchdown,or a field goal, time stops and thats just a few to get started,if your mother in law comes into the room time stops, the last one is not for real but you get the picture. And the ball is egg shaped, do you know how hard it is to carry a egg without dropping it.And last but not least a injury time out,I know the world considers us wussys for all the pads but some of these guys are pretty big dudes,we have one on the carolina panthers, his name is Julius Peppers, he is a defensive end and he is 6ft 9in tall, weighs about 290lbs, and can run a 4.4 second 40 yard dash, now that is bringing the mail, and he is trying to relocate your head to a different time zone...lol.thanks for the time to chat, but I know a little more about fishing anyway.
5 Feb, 2009
Thank you both for the info .. its such a huge deal to so many of you , the whole Country seems to stop for it I d love to be able to understand it !
I m sort of Ok with it till the yardages percentages and amazing amount of statistics flash up I ve played soccer on astro turf in shorts and fully understand why players wear long pants - those burns on your bum something else !
As for pads and helmets Id need a tank to face some of those guys !
Once stopped in a place called Indian Lake in upper NY State - the chef and his team were glued to the set watching New England Patriots play New York Giants ? Jets? well a local game .. really not happy I wanted something to eat .Given this huge green salad with no knife just a fork ..when asked for one room went quite they looked at one another and roared with laughter they actually stopped watching the game to see why I needed a knife to eat my salad with ! Would have been your sort of place Roger with log cabins loads of guys dressed in fishing gear.
Whats all this got to do with a pic of a bird ? Not much ... guess you ll have to call me a rookie !
5 Feb, 2009
LOL.... ,rookie sounds like an excellent tie in Bonkers to keep things on track ! Once my husband got started on the subject, I didn't think I was going to be able to get him to stop...lol
6 Feb, 2009
Lol.....just dont get me started on our football !!
