Echinacea Arts Pride in my garden.

My favourite of the Echinaceas but all attract lots of beneficial insects. Hope after all the rain and snow they come back this year.

Which insects are you hoping to attract ?

I like this plant 2 Toto iv the Pink 1 myself :)

The insects I have seen on them include hoverflies, bees and butterflies. The usual pink one is atropurpurea Jacque, they were the first ones I had and I still think they're great. I like all of the Echinaceas and have about five different ones.

I too love Echinacia...and have grown it often..also use the tincture for building immune system when a cold starts..tastes like dirt water but it works...

Yes Cat, seems that all the health food shops and even some of the chain stores sell the extract over here. A far better remedy for the common cold is any good whisky. It doesn't cure the cold but if you have enough you don't care anymore. I donned my waders, collected the rowing boat and ventured into what used to be the garden this morning and discovered at least two pathes of Echinacea purperea emerging from the mud.

Janey, there are lots of them and I don't pretend to know many but all I've seen are really nice, long lasting plants. I personally love these and so does my wife Jean.
