These, believe it or not, are Primula vulgaris - native primroses. They seem to be almost double, and crinkly too.

They do seem a bit different. They look a bit like Hose - in - Hose. Do they have a green frill under the flower.

No - and the odd thing is that at the other side of this clump, the flowers appear to be normal!

The cold wind makes me feel crinkley - perhaps it affects the primroses the same way :)

Linda - it produced itself! It is a native primrose and althought the clump has grown since last year, it hasn't had these rather lovely crinkly flowers before! I still don't understand how and why this has happened.

perhaps you have a new variety of your own Spritz that you can grow divide and sell when you have your garden open to the public.

My tomato seeds have germinated. Put some grass seed on the front lawn on the balding patches a couple of days ago and with this warmer spell of weather just perhaps it will grow..........
