My blazing mid-summer peak. My patio garden is VERY tiny. BBC Gardeners World magazine showed this photo in their last August edition.

"At last, rich,
High summer, haze of heat,
Summit of the seasons,
Flowers for me are everywhere
And galore,
Prolific, more to come
And ever more.

Abundance,
Angle-of-the-sun-high,
Basking,
So blessed and satisfied my soul
Of this - profusion.

(Camera happy too,
Lens busy about the capture).

My rewarded spirit is rejoiced,
Lifted,
Breathing blessing upon blessing
For this,
Yes - even joy!
For this,
Winter's long, locked icy chamber was endured,
In faith, in hope,
And in preparatory toil.
Alas, all this too will pass -
Summer slips away, once again lost".
