Hybridised from I. histrioides var. major and I. reticulata "J S Dijt".
Large, deep purple flowers, with yellow and white markings on the falls.
Chosen for our "Charlie and the Choclate Factory" themed garden as a reference to Grandpa George, one of Charlie's grandparents.

Yes, it is a lovely rich purple.matches well with the dark brown and reminds me of a well-known brand of chocolate, lol!
It's great when we see the bulbs we plant in late Autumn actually "do their thing", isn't it? :-)

Gf, I knew that someone would pick up on the purple link with chocolate, lol! Purple and choc brown go well together, don't they? They are both such ricch colours.
