I know, no one want to see snow in spring, this is my spring.....lol. I've got a ways to go.

Into April sometimes. We'll see the ground in May. Luckily there is already no night by then! So the temp can rise quickly. We stay pretty mild so 24 hours daylight wil spike up anything! Last year was strangely chilly, I hope this one is more normal. Already getting jittery about spring.

It's quite fascinating to learn about the differences in climates and seasons - can't imagine 24 hours of daylight but I can certainly understand the garden would love it. Hope it goes well for you this year.

Thank you. I'm feeling ambitious.

:-) Thanks so much for the comments, and the hope...:-)
This snow was a foot more on top....jeez. But it is nice inside, and I've got the books, dreams, GOY, and tulips springing in a pot. I'll get through. :-)

Your snow will be gone for good before you know it Greenthumb. We finally got rid of ours here. Like you we can get some heavy snow falls in early April so I'm crossing my fingers for the both of us that this is it.

We'll get the heavy snow, Mike, but it doesn't melt before that. The ground shows itself end of April. Nothing green until May. I'm just appreciating the sun, and not looking down.....:-) We are still temp below 0F

i imagine a roaring log fire inside making it cosey to be indoors,am i right.

Lol...that would be wonderful. I've just a quite little diesel stove and a little radient space heater. We get an air problem in winter from too much particulate, such as log smoke, so cold the air isn't moving. My sodium lamp is the firelight color. :-)

My little NJ snow storm is NOTHING compared to yours! lol..I really have a lot of nerve complaining, as it was going, going gone by the next day! Most of us here feel that if it's going to snow let it really dump on us! I cannot imagine what it's like to live in your neck of the woods! Amazing. It looks very lovely.

lol...First snow is the beginning. Break-up is the last. We're also the warmest spot in the state in summer. So the snow just breaks and goes in about a week. Suddenly, mud! :-)
24 Mar, 2009
I bet my mud doesn't compare with your mud, either! lol..though, I do have a boggy soggy yard. I must say, Alaska is pretty fascinating!

Lol....I have to park at the top of the driveway for a week or two so I don't get big ruts. I drain the whole community. Runs across the drive and down my garden steps into the center of the compass garden. This'll be a flood this year. We got five more inches yesterday. But it dries up before the first planting day, we're very loamy so it drains quickly. I'm soggy for only a minute. :-)

i am glad that you are comfy and warm inside. I must admit that I have become very attached to warm weather as often as possible.
