Thank you for all your good wishes. The old bike made the journey in about 3 hours although my daughter apparently had to get out and walk up the hills and then jump back in! It is the first time they have done this run, usually they accompanied my late ex-husband. It was a journey of memories for them all. My twin daughters acted as backup, following behind with the bike trailer. The bike has been in our family for just over 40 years, having been rebuilt by my father in law. It's good that it is being kept in the family and is being used for runs and rallies.

Wow I wish I had seem them , well done ! my hubby would like to have gone on his old 1946 BSA .......... it,s nice that you have looked after and taken care of the bike for so long in the family Gee :o)

Obviously brought back lots of memories. Nice that it is a family event.

I don,t think he would venture that far TT , , he goes in local vintage shows , mainly to show it off and look at other people collections of bikes cars etc. :o)

Oh dear, I can remember riding side-saddle on the back of a BSA many years ago because my skirt was too tight to sit astride!! Good job I'm more sensible now :)
