I' have seen other butterflies this year but this is the first I've managed to photograph. This Comma was in my garden this afternoon.

Brilliant photo and butterfly.I like the Commas though find it difficult often to get a good photo of one a bit like the Brimstone,they are difficult as well...

Thanks for your nice comments. This one was quite easy to photograph as it stayed reasonably still for a while.
Bonkers, I have seen the forecast and can only agree with you that it may well be unpleasant for these little guys. I hope that those that have emergedcan find a nice cosy nook to hide in during any intemperate weather.

Become a butterfly!
Thanks Marguerite. Your not the only one who finds it difficult to photograph them. I probably take twenty shots of butterfly blurs as they fly away to every one reasonable pic I get. I guess butterflies are the same the world over. Very flighty creatures.
