I love these and have bought a few over the years but have never had success with them. Maybe my heavy clay doesn't drain well enough for them.
Nice picture of yours though Janette. I shall have to make do with being envious of yours.

Toto I have very heavy clay soil as well ,and these seem to thrive here,mind I have a lot of grit added to my compost.

It may well be that I'm wrong in my assumption of why I have had no success with trhem, but either I'm doing something wrong or They don't have the right conditions. Maybe I'll do as you do, add some grit and see what happens.
