Came home from work today and my husband (who is on holiday) had taken this photo. It convinced me that I had made the right decision to retire on 1 October, rather than going on until 2 January when I will be 62. Just think of all the time I can spend outside then - rather than being stuck inside missing all these marvels of nature!!
I will be able to grow my own plants rather than having to buy them!!!

An hour before work, or afterwards (with a head torch!!) We wish our lives away until the next weekend.

Retirement is great - I look the plunge 4 years ago and have never regretted it for one moment. It was rather a leap of faith, wondering how I would manage with a reduced income but its surprising how easy it is to prioritise when you have to :)
