The calm before the storm! 178 visitors came between 2 and 4.30pm to our open day on behalf of the National Garden Scheme. The sun shone brightly but it got quite cold and windy as the afternoon progressed.

Hi TT. Yes, the stream is at the bottom of the garden. It's about 54 foot long and man-made. It started off as 8 foot and just grew and grew! We had to import 11 tons of soil and several very large rocks to create a mount for the cascade at the head of the stream. The water is re-circulated.

It's looking so interesting Fssns.....I bet no-one noticed the weather...:o) I love the Japanese theme....it takes me back to Peasholme Park at Scarborough when we were kids...they had a Japanese garden and it was like a fairy land to me!

Ah, spring. You can just make out a wisp of green in the branches. Sounds like a successful open even with the chill. 2 people a minute. :-)
