I never knew puppies had baby teeth.
I read recently that hens actually do have teeth but not developed in the jaw, a genetic throw back.
Buns nearly gone already.

That's interesting...I never knew too Ams!

Have I missed out on the buns? Only just seen them - you have been busy. Happy Easter.

These look nice. Did you make them ? They have the proper cross on them like my grandfather used to do , - not those chewy white things like they usually put today. :o)

Hello Hywel, yes I did make them myself. The cross is made by scoring on the bun and then pouring a liquid flour mix over them, they look a bit rustic but healthier than the soggy shop ones.

Mmmmmm Ams - any chance of your parting with the recipe ???? Did you make the bread too?

Terry, I will send on the recipe to you. It was in Saturday's issue of Radio Times by Nigella Lawson. Yes I made the bread also, I have not bought a loaf of bread for months now, I find kneading dough by hand so therapeutic.

My grampa had a little thing he used in the bakery for making the crosses just like yours. He used to call bread you bought in a shop plastic bread. lol. Home made is much nicer. Your loaf looks nice. I could have eaten it when it was warm.

Thanks Ams. Look forward to it. I used to make all my bread too - but somehow never seem to find the time to do anything these days !!

I bought an expensive baking stone for baking bread, it has an amazing crisping effect on the loaf or pizza, I dont understand the science though.

Wauw, they do look wonderful too!
I just read that you've bought a special stone for baking bread, I am glad you think it is amazing, for we have just ordered one too, with our new oven, new steam oven, and induction cooker. Hopefully next week I'll be able to give some feedback from it.
Enjoy your baking!

Hello Hilda,
My oven is electric so I cannot add water for humidity so bread is a little more crusty than I like.
