My favourite flowers of all time, in the midlands I had nearly 50 varieties....our garden was much larger then. This one was part of my collection.

They are wonderful, versatile plants, aren't they! I have a Clematis chart on my laptop, with photos and details of all my Clematis and their pruning groups on it, I am thinking of making one for all my geraniums - where they all are , names, groups and their photos!

You're very organised, Spritz. As you may have realised I often don't know what I've got in the garden. Labels have a habit of disappearing although I have quite a few stuck in the back & front of one of my large gardening books!

LOL. That is why I bought a 5-year Gardeners' Log, Gee - it was supposed to stop me collecting pieces of paper and plant labels...it has helped to a certain extent, but I still have pieces of paper INSIDE the Log - and pots of labels everywhere. Organised? I wish! :-( I am always finding a label in my pocket - or the weeding trug - or marking the page in a book where I was reading about the plant!
The Clematis chart was to help me to remember where each one is in the garden, so that I don't forget to prune and feed them. I do have a large collection now - over 50, nearer 60 I think.
I started to make a list of geraniums in the garden, and suddenly thought that a chart for them would be helpful, especially if a visitor wants to know the name of one in flower in June.

I also love geraniums and have quite a few different ones, I used to have this one at the cottage, used to call it the Mourning geranium.

I've heard some people call the G. phaeum ones 'Mourning Widows' - I really don't know why?

Was this taken with your new camera because it is a very good closeup.

Yes, it was. More news from the Insurance Company today - they are coming on Monday to take my dead camera away! They don't believe anyone any more - even though the shop man wrote 'unrepairable' on the receipt! Everyone is lying, apparently. I hate that.

Geraniums do well in my garden, I will have to look out for this one, a bit different from those in my garden.
