Not sure which Hosta this is... I maybe wiser when it has opened. They are growing at a rapid rate of knots, so it shouldn't be long.
so sorry about the slug pellets, but because of the credit crunch the vast majority of UK slugs and snails are holidaying on the isle of wight this year!! Everything in my garden is doused in blue.

I have decided to take them up the road to the fields in a bag and let them go.. We lived in Newport Road. Gerry's mum lived there too until Feb last year and then sadly passed away.

What a small world....sorry to labour the point, but I do feel awful using the slug pellets, but I just hate it when they decimate my plants.... do u collect them at night? I do admire you relocating them!

We had to move to Derbyshire because of employment a long time ago but we love it here. Have moved house a couple of times to downsize as we are getting older. Have loved to tackle every garden in a different way according to the size of the ground, and consider the wildlife. We have the hedgehogs visit every night. Just go and have a look at the snails in the morning or evening.

My hostas are about this size at the moment but the rain has bought them on a bit this week although the wind has been cold. I think that further south they have had it a lot warmer. We have hedgehogs visit at night so I have put a fine sprinkle down but am trying not to use slug pellets and am hand picking the snails. I've decided to take them up the road into the fields. I used to live at Lake on the I.O.W many many years ago. Lovely place to live. I miss the sea.
