Hywel, it is stiffer than the usual dandelion but falls apart just as easily. Ok, TT, probably spent 2 or 3 hours altogether but I sent the picture to a friend and she found it on her first try....should have let her do the searching in the first place...I agree with you, Janette, some seedheads are every bit as fascinating as the flowers.

Yes, it does...I would like to find another one and try to carefully pluck it and photograph it against a solid colored background to spotlight the pattern without the busy current background.....been looking...not finding another
