Hosta - Frances Williams (aka The Thug!)

This photo was taken in 2006. It got even larger by 2008 and we simply had to divide it. I hope it does well this year. I simply love Hostas. I believe it is a Frances Williams.

Thanks for your comments. I don't normally get problems with slugs but last year I did, perhaps because it was a particularly wet summer, who knows. I'm glad I divided it though as it was getting too large. I now have 3 lovely plant popping there lovely leaves up at the moment.

They are great plants, if a bit enthusiastic at times. But they can create a great background for flowering plants as well as being a great plant in their own right. Mine(mostly in pots as it's easier to keep the slus and snails off) are growing through brilliantly at the moment.
