Forsythia

I like this, always cheers me up when it arrives.

One of my favorite things, blooming forsythia! I saw one coming through winters at the bot garden, I'm thinking I must have a try. I would keep cut back like this, my example one was blooming only around the bottom. When do you prune them Mike?

Best to prune them after they bloom Greenthumb. The more you prune them the thicker the bush will get.

It's the first burst of color in my yard in early spring.
