I think it did much better last year and this spring because it has been so wet!
All that rain is good for something!

As it happens, I'm told that they don't really like tap water. Rain water is much better for them.

This is true, as for rhododendrons, azaleas, etc., and my own beloevd blueberries, ie. anything that thrives in ericaceous/acidic soil or compost. Great reason to install a water butt or 2. Lovely pic, Arlene, of a shrub which injects some real colour to the Spring garden, and is one of my faves! :-)
