Thanks Eileen..we keep our cats in during this time Deida as would have a field day doesnt take too long to fledge and havent caught one yet touch wood .

counted 6 blackbird nests Dawn...currently 4 fledglings around.More due soon judging by frantic gathering of mealworms !

Your garden is like an aviary BB - so wonderful. So many nests and babies. This fledging thing is amazing isnt it. How long does it usually take for them to learn to fly properly - about a week or so?

Only takes them a couple of days Dawn...not too far or too high at first but they get stronger very quickly ! Amazing arent they !
