It's not unusual to see these at this time of year Irish. They are Red Headed Irish Cockerels, a relation of our own English Pink Footed Red Kite and they are on their migration route to the polar ice caps where they turn blue ready for their mating season. You may well see flocks of these during the course of the BBQ season. Especially if you keep taking the meths.
Funky. Your comment was not lost on me. You should be ashamed.

I think you need to check your bird books, Toto. This is, I think, the lower-eyed, one legged Cockerdoodle. They are quite rare, seeing as pairs can never quite see eye to eye. Pity you didn't manage to keep it, Irish, you could have got quite a lot of money for it on Ebay :)

well maybe if i win the lottery tonight Gee i could buy a whole flock of them

Things like that happen in my garden too, except with garden gnomes. Must be a homing instinct.

It's the fabled cheeky eyed small white banty cockerel, that has been staying with the fairies until after Easter. You see they cast a spell on this wonderful bird and he gathers all the females from miles around to lay very small eggs.......then another spell is cast and the fairies turn them into chocolate and the children love to eat them at Easter time. This bird is reknowned to have an eye for the ladies and instead of this being a tongue in cheek fairytale this cockerel has an eye on cheek for his lady hens, although he has to have a spell on his own now and again taking a holiday visiting peoples gardens for an overnight stay.

LOL...well,whatever it is its found the famous plantpot !!

20 May, 2009

Well it's a touch of the Irish and that is where the fairies live. I went on a coach trip to Ireland and we stopped by a famous place with a wood that was supposed to be where the fairies come from.
