SNAP!! I've got these, Toto. I tried to take a photo but the flowers were very wet and floppy.

They are lovely!

Just like tissue paper Spritz.
There are other colours so yours may not be the same Jacque it should give you an idea. Mine is about 4ft high and was a cutting I was allowed to take from a neighbours plant. Sadly the neighbour died and the new people got rid of the Cistus so I'm glad I got mine when I did.

I think it is, I'll check tomorrow under my umbrella. ;-)

Fancy getting rid of a lovely shrub like this!

They're not difficult Jacque or I couldn't have done it. I can see it's doing really well and you won't have too long to wait for it to start producing flowers. They seem to me to get more prolific every year.
I know Spritz, seems odd doesn't it?

Thanks Clarice.

Its beautiful, the flowers look so fragile, as if a puff of wind would blow them far away!

What a sight!

Thanks all. The shrub is covered in these flowers at the moment. The flowers are about two and a half inches across.

Thank you Nelke they do come in various colours but I think that this is probably the most common.

Looks just like crinkled tissue paper - how lovely. Never seen this before.

I think they'd be a bit fragile for your climate, Elke! The flowers only last one day each but there are so many to open that it doesn't matter!

Thanks, Spritz. Rock rose. I looked it up after your comment, and we do not exactly have a "Mediterranean' climate here for growing this... Ah well! Can't have everything!
