It was lucky i had My Camera Toto as i was on my way 2 top up the Bird Feeders when i saw this Beauty sitting there i must of been 5ft from him/her & it didnt seem 2 mind when i Zoomed in & took the pic :)

The gold finches must be more friendly in Norfolk than Hampshire. They come into our garden, but I can't get close enough to photograph them. Lovely photo....congratulations.

How did I miss this. Poor little goldfinch - my robin looked a bit bedragled too today.

The ones I saw at a garden centre was about £12 which I thought to be a bit steep!

They seem 2 cope better with rain than Me Dawn lol :) I bet shes a Dryer @home Aleyna :) lol

The rain seems to affect their heads more than their wings, poor little things. Bet they dont go frizzy like me though when I've been caught in the rain.

Ours seem to love the rain Jacque...all the other birds disappear and they keep on feeding ! Lol

Yes this Finch was Eatting in the Rain Jane/Ray & didnt fly off when i got a good 5ft close to him/her? :)

Aaah....As long as theres food nothing will keep a goldfinch away. We have some visit our front garden and love those back thistle seeds, even in gale force winds. If I can manage to take a decent photo of them I will upload it.

They seem 2 Eat & Eat ClaireS ,Im always refilling The Feeder 4 them :)

Well caught Jaque, I know how hard it is to catch them. Your camera would be clicking all day in my garden I live next door to a church yard with nature conservation at the back of that. Alas I only have my phone camera so I have to get close to them to get a decent photo
