I am planning a new flowerbed and these are going in it! I already have some in the bed I planted earlier this year.

I think this is a cracking plant. I must get a couple more to fill in under a magnolia

Beautifull!
I have *almost* bought this plant each season in the last three years.
Do you know if it holds up to wind or if it's somewhat fragile?

I find that it does need some support Rosaliea , the stems do snap , I have put some hooped canes round mine this year ........

Thanks Amy. It always looks so elegant and airy, and we get quite the breezes sometimes. I'll try to find a sheltered area and use some supports if and when I get this plant.

Andrew , my hubby broke 4 pieces off our plant in March , without even digging the plant up and we already have some good healthy plants from them ...

Did you just pot them up, or do something extra, Amy?

i bought one of these recently. not planted in the ground yet. does it prefer sun/shade/wet/dry?

Sun, and they are doing well in my new bed. It isn't dry like the top border. It's good soil. I have a feeling they wouldn't like dryness - though I haven't checked my ref. books.
