Such delicate flowers... do they have a smell?

Aleyna:

Yes, they are fragrant. However, I wasn't going to chance putting my nose up to the flowers of the hundreds of bees flying around these trees.

Do these trees grown in Brazil?

Terratoonie:

I think the official name is now Losphostemon conferta...however, it has been sold for so many years here as Tristania conferta...it is still sold under this botanical name in CA.

Andy:
I found one placed in the Botanic Garden with the following information:
In 1982 the Australian genus Tristania was divided in three: Tristania, Lophostemon e Tristaniopsis, the original tristania was designated in honor to the french naturalist Jules de Tristan (1776-1861).
They seem to be an eucalyptus.

Aleyna:

Thanks for the information.

However, they are not a Eucapytus...although they are related to Eucalyptus, being in the Myrtaceae (Myrtle) family.
