This one is on our property - we only have two that are actually on our property - but there are lots of others in the bush surrounding us. It's such a delight to see them start flowering in the autumn!

Janey I hope your summer is a good one - the summer just gone was very, very wet for us up here in northern Oz (highest wet on record for my city). I have a teaching buddy from my school who's off to your corner of the world in two weeks - perhaps she can take some of the great winter weather we're having at the moment. That would be close to your spring I think.

Bernieh:
That look so familiar! : > ) Many Acasia species have taken over large areas of California just like Eucalytus.

Delonix, when they're blooming through autumn into winter, they just look so fabulous scattered through the bushland here. I'd imagine it would be the same there. I like the different shades from bright yellow through to lemon.

Bernieh:
Yes, they bloom in California the same time...Autumn through Winter.
They are very pretty...however, some species like Acacia baileyana, melanoxylon and armata are classified as noxious weed trees in CA.
