Red-spotted Purple on Garden Phlox

A Red-spotted Purple sitting on one of my very first Garden Phloxes. Red-spotted Purples hardly ever lite on flowers so this was a real treat. I'm glad I had the ole camera !

Now I know what the yellow swallowttail was munching on...! I asked the question one photo too soon. Another great shot. My pics of butterflies are often blurry, because they are constantly moving their wings.

Yep, some of them are always fluttering and it's very difficult ! Some are more shy than others too and you can't get near them, but I try ;o)
