Patty is still being coy, but this one has now bloomed. It was an anonymous one from B&Q three years ago.

No, not 'Allegro' - I've seen that and it is indeed scarlet. Did you see my distastrous Patty flower? Now I'm waiting fro the next bud to open!

On my farm walk next week will have to take a photo of a graden I pass - they have a long row of orange orential poppies - they're stunning (your poppy is too of course).
Would they grow from a cutting - thought about asking the owners for a little cutting if I thought it would work.
