That is a large clump of 'eupatorium coelestinum'. Common name is boneset. It's very hardy, and quite a little spreader to boot..!.

Was drawn to this pic by the lovely flower, and located the little "hitchhiker" fairly easily. Now, I am attracted by its variety name "Whirlwind", so it goes on my Oz plantlist. I do, however, think it is too pretty to have been given this name. Gr8 pic!
