Hi Bluespruce...I like this var. It has more than one leader? will it remain teardrop shaped? I've never seen any pics of aged picea glauca...are they a long lived shrub?

Lori - this one is extremely slow growing, an inch or two per year at most. It will probably become a squat type cone with age...depends on what you mean by an aged Picea ?

The picea which I have has been here as long as we've been here..I think it's safe to say that it is at least 15 years old...but seems (to me) a little overgrown and tired looking...The one that was in the back garden died when all else was thriving! what with the mites and salt sensitivity I'm ready to give up on it...but it is so pretty in the spring!

lol I was looking for gnomes, plural, found this, and loved it! small, slow-growing conifers are what i want to go for, so any new ones (new to me) are gladly received. thanks!
