was talk of them turning the Fort into a museum but i dont think it will be done now so looks like the wee tree will be left in peace

Great pic, I've seen a few tree seedlings growing on rooftops and gutters,
most are poor specimens. This isn't!
There's a naturalised Hornbeam bonsai growing on top of a wall, just outside the mens shower block at Parkfoot camp site at Pooley Bridge, Ullswater. Wish I'd taken a photo of it!
