Is this the Papal cross in Phoenix Park Irish? We were in Dublin a few years ago and didn't make it to the Park - was on our list of sights to see but not enough time to see everything. Looks like we missed out.

When we went to Ireland we went on the jaunty rides and walked about too. Saw the tart with the cart...Molly Malone. Didn't have time to see the book of Kells. Went to the small very old chapel where someone sailed was it to America.......Dublin is a place that buzzes if you know what I mean and having the river there just makes it. We have been round the Antrim coast on one trip and Giant's causeway was spectacular. Been to Kerry Kilarny and all around the centre. We went to a large park where all the traditional things are including the old cottages where they had peat burning in the grate and the cottage just had some sort of open room in the loft where they slept. the bottom roomspace was where they lived. and we found that very interesting. I always remember the man with the donkey, walking along the street.

Dublin isnt too bad as most things are withing walking distance.

Nope.....my fear of heights and knee knocking wouldn't allow it although the coach did stop there for you to have a walk.

Ireland is a wonderful place on a parallel with scotland and I think at one of the old castles still with a loch by the side. in the loch their are very old type of fish only found elsewhere in Scotland.
