Oh, Janey - I do hope they'll open in time! They were open last year in early June! I'm hoping that the sunny weather will bring them on.

There are about 5 open flowers now. There'll be a few more by Thursday, but the 11th June visitors will obviously see lots of them... the Geraniums are opening well, though! :-)

Does this smell as gorgeous as the gardening articles say? Such a pretty colour.

Not as strongly as 'Zepherine Drouhin', but a good scent.

Am so thrilled that I've managed to 'do' roses this year!! Will post some pictures tomorrow of them. Hope to go to RHS Rosemoor on the 20th for their roses open day.

This is stunning - can I ask a really easy (and very amateurish!) question - when they say to deadhead them, where abouts do I cut - I am in my first year as a rose owner!
From your photos (and comments) you seem like a seasoned expert in growing roses.

The climbers I just cut off the head as there are often several blooms in a cluster, the others I take back to a bud.
