Thanks, but sadly it is no more. I don't think it was very happy where I'd put it. It might be worth trying again though - especially since I've joined this forum and have seen all the lovely pictures - so inspiring. Thanks for the welcome.

That is a stunning rose, you must get it again.

Just make sure you plant it in plenty of sun Keithsmum. Roses need at least 6 hours of direct sun a day to perform at their best.

It got the sun but I think maybe it was a combination of the type of fence I had it against and my novice-ness!! With the encouragement here, I'll certainly give it another go. Will post when I've done it! (I've just looked at the pic again and it got blackspot too).

It's great, give it another go. I have just ordered 4 new Roses, all striped varieties and can't wait to give them a go.

I was looking the other day there at the place it had been planted and...... because I'd cut it back and not dug it up, it's popped up again! Yippee! I'll be keeping a closer eye on it this time. Here's hoping.
