Fantastic. Very architectural plants that make a great impression. I posted some photos of some of my Verbascum yeaterday as well. Did you grow these from seed?. Mine seemed to take forever to get going but this spring they have shot up.

They self seed themselves Paul, I can take no credit for them. They just pop up all over the place, sometimes where I don't want them to. Again, like with the smoke bush the climate & soil help a lot.

Yes, they like the sun, don't they. Mine are in a warm south facing position which seems to suit them. Hopefully mine will also self seed. Although my soil is heavy clay which isn't their favourite, but I dug in lots of grit when I planted these out.

Hi Paul, if you take a look at my photos I've put a photo of them on site today. They've grown at the back of house (alongwith all the weeds) and even the heads are beginning to straighten themselves out too! As you say it's definitely the sun.
