Hi Sleepy welcome aboard GOY.

Hi Janey, cat = gatto or gatta in her case !! (to be even more precise gattina = female kitten ...)

Thanks everybody for your kind comments. She is adorable and so sweet natured - usually when strays come to the house ( spent the weekend in my place in the hills) they eat and then go away - whereas she ate and stayed and stayed - she obviously had nowhere to go. She walked into the kitchen and fell asleep on the chair and carried on sleeping so peacefully all day and then evening on my lap as I did my knitting. I didn't have the heart to shoo her out of the house - so she has become gatta N° 5 "replacing" our much loved and missed Giove

Dorma gattina? or how would you make dorma adjectival? It's so wonderful to hear the joy in your descriptions of her... Blessings to you both. Reminds me of a Puccini aria...Nessun Dorma! Nobody sleeps but the kitten that is....

A sleeping kitty can be translated as "una gattina che dorme", "una gattina addormentata" or "una gattina dormiente" (a bit old fashioned).... !! She's sleeping a lot less now - in fact she's so at home she's become a bundle of fun. At 5.30 am this morning she decided it was playtime and that my ears would be the source of her enjoyment ....

That's a wonderful story......she's found her real home!

una gattina addormentata!!! I'm going down to the pet store today...and if Bustopher is still there he's coming home with me. Only problem (if you could call it that) with having all my pets...is Who do I trust them with while I go off to Italy? LOL...

Take them with you ..... !!!!

hahaha....I'd look a little strange getting on the plane at Pearson with a gecko round my neck!! And Clover isn't trained to a leash yet!
