It so strange that they are blooming at the same time. I know you are in your dry season now and we are in our dry Summer season (we always seem to be in a dry season here. lol). This is the only species of Tabebuia which blooms in Summer (that I know of)...most species bloom in Winter or very early Spring.

Actually mine has two flowering cycles every year Delonix - it has a few flowers from late autumn through winter, then it has a rest and will be covered in flowers from mid-spring all through summer. Maybe mine has decided it's just big enough to do what it wants - it's about 12 metres tall.

Wow! Two blooming cycles...that's great! I would think it's large enough to bloom twice a year like it wants. lol.
I don't ever remember seeing this pink trumpet tree 12 meters / 40 feet tall here. I guess in time it would get that tall though. Do you know how old your tree is?

Delonix it was here when we moved in and I'm guessing that it's around 25 years old. Our house was moved out here in 1984 from the inner city and the first owners to live in it out here would have planted the trees.

I've always read most Tabebuia trees grew quickly...so that would make sense. I have no idea how old this posted tree is...however, I know it's been in the ground for more than 10 years. I'm sure the trees where you live would grow faster than here...you live in a truly tropical climate and receive more rain than we do.
