Pond water, Jerrie....just pond water...but recently I bought some fish emulsion for my clemmies...may give them a shot of that after they finish blooming.

hahaha...yes Wagger they are predictably gorgeous every year! I have a closeup photo of these peonies posted last year, Gardenan. They have the slightest tint of yellow at centre and it makes them look like they are glowing! and the best part about them is that they seem indifferent to the soil type...and require only a decent amount of water to be happy. Not worried about fertilizer either...all I have given these is pond water. going to try fish emulsion to boost them for when I have to lift them and take them with me to another part of the province!

Thanks very much, I brought this plant with me when we moved, Scotkat...had limited room in the mover and had to farm them out to a cousin for the wintering over. The soil is different here and they have decided to sulk. They really don't like being moved. Their show this year was dismal.
left all my Sarah Burnhardt's behind...so bought a new plant for this garden and have a tree peony that is settling in really well. It's the same old story...all that is needed with peonies is time...and patience.
