Can you see the first hosta bud coming up in the middle? - almost the same colour as the campanula.

I put that down to the frogs as it's near the pond - my hostas are really 'clean' this year, I'm feeling quite smug.

Funny you should say that Wagger but have noticed that our hostas near the pond are doing best regarding holes ! Plus we have lots of frogs !
