Clarice - our winters are so mild up here in the north that we are lucky enough to have these for months in bloom. My sister-in-law's story is the opposite to yours - she came out many moons ago and only planned on being here for a couple of years but she's still here some thirty years later! She complains every time she goes back to the UK that she can't get back here fast enough!

Its funny seeing our summer bedding in your winter time. I lived in Western Australia many moons ago, went as a £10 pommy that was in 1968, i loved it but my poor belated husband, was really homesick, so only did our 2yrs.
