yes i was so excited when i saw him michaela, ran into apartment grabbed my camera in hope he would still be there and he was, baz just stood there thinking whats all the fuss about lol,, luckerly i got to see him a few times while there,

HOOPOE! Epupo epops is it's Latin name, or something like that!
Fabulous when they pop their crest up, and they're lovely in flight, too, and lovely subtle colours...fawny with black and white, very pretty.

i was excited when i saw it as i hadnt a clue what it was, it came down each day when no-one around, they look like a mix, a bit of dove, cockerteal,, cant spell that lol, but love the markings :o)

they are fabulous birds, there call is hupoepoepeopoe....hence the name.

We are lucky enough to have a cple flying around the house at the moment, but not sure where they are nesting, one was sitting on the shutters on my bedroomwindows and the whole house was fairly booming with the sound.
