The photo is probably deceiving because it's quite a big bloom although not fully open! I like it, the colour is like a Dahlia version of Geranium Splish Splash which I know quite a lot of Goyers have!

Oh, thanks Motinot. Just went and looked. It's a bit more open today but will leave a couple days and take another pic. Only problem is ants are crawling all over it and eating the petals. I tewnd not to use sprays so just pick them off with my fingers or blast them with the hose but I didn't use hose tonight. I tried to use up most of the water in my water butt as we are promised more rain tomorrow so seemed silly to use hose when plenty in butt! Fingers crossed for a downpour!

Are there more ants on the 'go' this year...or am i imagining this.?..they're everywhere...

Thanks Gardengnome. Unfortunately, that seems like forever ago that I took that photo. Now in the depths of winter, the garden has been covered in snow for a week now! But, no doubt, the summer will soon come round again eh???

You got that right and then the groans will be about too much to do! lol.

Well we like to have a grumble don't we. Roll on the spring, that's what I say! And there's no snow on my garden now.
