Could you please tell me more about this pretty plant ?
Perennial ?
Does it go dormant in winter ?
Thanks...

Hi TT, yes this is a perennial. The label says 'outstanding dward Evening Primrose, abundant yellow flowers from summer until early autumn. Ideal for the sunny border front and as ground cover. Ideal for cutting' Size approx 10" x 12"
I didn't read the bit about the sunny border before and mine is planted in a patch where the water sits in winter and wet weather! In spite of that, it has survived and is really beautiful this year. I will have to keep an eye on it to see if I can collect seeds. I also wondered about your idea of taking a cutting and putting it in water. Worth a try I think!

If you succeed with any cuttings of this, I would be very keen to have one please ! I know that Gaura and Penstemon can be started as cuttings in water.....

You'd be very welcome, TT. I'll see what I can do :)

Hi Gee19, I just started my Evening Primrose "Yello Queen" from seed. Will be planting it out next month. Does it die down in the winter? I'm putting it in a sunny spot. Anything else I need to know? A person can tell you a lot more than a seed envelope.
