Unless I am very much mistaken that is a tea towel on the arm of the chair, he is obviously exhausted from doing all the washing up and drying. It is very easy to look at a photograph out of context and assume the worst.
Ray is simply worn out and should be pampered non stop to bring him back to full working condition.

Yes Jacque - I kept it sprayed with water during the good weather before and after the sun got on it and hey presto - I'll post a pic soon. My cosmos is in flower BTW.

Hi Jacque, I've just nipped into the garden. Your lovely label says Cosmos 3ft tall - the flower is a whitey/pink colour with mauve around the edge. The wild corn cockle is nearly out too. :-))
