This simple one is a darling and much appreciated. The vacation was great and the gardne doing well. I'll spend some time getting some pics on. I'm behind on even my own. :-) Thanks to each of you.

Thanks Arlene. I wish there was a little more rest to my holiday, but it was wonderful all the same. I've loads of photos to large for the site so I'm working through to get some posted. I saw some really amazing stuff. :-)

Love it! This is my favorite flowering plant which
cannot be grown here.

It does like the cold. The botanical garden has such a huge collection. I should be here through it next year. It is really dazzling.

Yes, they need quite a bit of chiling hours to produce their beautiful flowers. We just don't get cold enough here...plus those 80 to 90 degree winter days off-set what little chillig hours we do receive.

We can get a little too cold in a few spots, but generally these are very productive and successful here.

This plant is definitely in the right spot...because it looks perfect!

I love Peonies especially the wood ones...

They have a nice long late season here, these herbaceous ones anyhow, blooming end of june through july. Very reliable. I've only one little one I hope blooms for me next year.
