Hi Pam... This is WONDERFUL ! Good thing I live across the pond because you could come home and find your door missing :) As for the faded yellow.. You might want to check a store where they sell crafts. They have kits for painting sun catchers for windows. The paint is a clear color and thick like syrup. If you find some you could paint the yellow a thin coat at a time so that it doesn't drip down. I know that this works because I have a plastic sun catcher of a red cardinal and the red had faded to a very pale pink. The paint did the trick. Our parrot is VERY bonded to my partner and when I show him this photo he is going to flip :) Thanks for posting it.

That's very nice. Did you make it?

No T , the whole panel had to be made for me, it was a present from my former partner, who left as soon as it was finished LOL. I think it was a 'guilt trip' present, but I would much rather have the door..........:o)

Hi Mike, my pleasure, I am so glad you like it, I really love it, as you can guess, I am a complete 'Parrot nut!!' So many people comment on it and it is very handy if people haven't been before, I just give them my house number, 7 houses from the top of the road and you can't miss the Parrot on the door LOL. At night when the light is on in the hallway, it really does look good from outside. The yellow is fine on the inside of the door as is the red, just the outside colours. It would be impossible to paint the inside anyway as it is between two sheets of glass. Thanks for the tip, I shall go and find some of this paint and give it a go, I shall probably need some red too, I notice that is fading slightly. Enjoy your day
