My modest garden from my son's bedroom window

Oh goodness...the decking looks even pinker from this view! Also...you can just see my most prolific weed... electricus pylonus maximus growing up behind the summerhouse! No amount of DDT will get rid of this baby...there's even a sign on it saying 'danger of death'! Nice.
To the left is a 'no-man's land' which technically belongs to the horse livery yard next door but is really a little copse of brambles & conifers which are never touched so as to provide a good division between us... & a cat haven, perfect for hunting & lounging around, cat style,in the hot weather.
The lawn used to be a field so although 'proper' grass was laid (known as Sherborne turf) there is a plethora of buttercups, daisies & clover to enjoy!

I was so drawn to whats in your garden I didnt see your weed until I looked for it after reading your blog. Although the plylon does not detract from thiis picture - thats life.
Have you considered getting rid of it by putting a tall slim tree in the middle of the grass halfway between the green house and the summer house this would be the right perspective to make it disappear from the house view.
I am assuming there is no room for a tree behind your lovely summer house? such as a Eucalyptus which needs very little room to start off and can become a very tall bushy tree

Hi Denise...well there was space behind for a tree but hubby filled it with a small shed! You're right about Eucalyptus ...I bought a shrub & ended up with an enormously high tree which you can see to the right of the summerhouse!!
Don't think we would want a tree in the middle of the lawn...there's already a pole for the washing line & the bird feeders to the left & wouldn't want him indoors to have to navigate around too many things with the mower!!
I guess we're used to the pylon now I just noticed it more when I took the photo!

I know what you mean we have railway line behind our garden cannot see it and I never notice the noise until a visitor comments.
