Any specific reason for the drop off in number of your bumble bees Bonkers,( that was a mouth full...lol). That's a problem I've never had to deal with here in my area. We have had a drop off in our native honeybee though and you would be surprised at the culpit. Japanese hornets here, are notorious for taking over honeybee nests in hollowed out trees. It's an awful thing to witness, nothing you can do but watch as hundreds of huge hornets come in and wipe out a colony of tens of thousands of honeybees in the matter of a couple of hours. These hornets are 5 times larger than our honeybees, our bees just don't stand a chance.
