New Lavatera

This is my disappointment - ordered by mail order as a pure white Lavatera!

I like the colour though Spritz.
Will you re-order it ?

Its very pretty and delicate looking :~)
You have a very gorgeous garden spritz. I almost (and I can't believe I'm saying this) feel jealious ;~)))

I never thought I'd read that, Ian! :-)

Louise, I really don't know. I wanted a white one and looked it up on the net to track it down. Now I've filled that space - what would you do?

if i mixed up an order like that i would replace the plant. i mixed up some of the tomato plants this year. only three trays but i sold them at a reduced price as surprise tomatoes....lol
but seriously it is easily done when lables fall out or children move them. so i would let the nursery know and let them rectify it.

Even though it's in Essex and I'm in Somerset. Sandra? I even wondered if they'd believe me. :-(

Spritz, i'd re-order the white. Have both !!!

I don't have the space for another one...unless I cut the Cistus back...

7 Jul, 2009

It would be a shame to cut it back, could you plant it somewhere else, even temporarily ?

i dont see why not Spritz.. i'd give them a ring...

If they sent the wrong one to you it's a pretty safe bet they sent the wrong one to other people as well - it's not often just one plant gets mislabeled.

i agree Wagger. i would hate for a customer to get the wrong plant and not tell me.

I think I've gone right off this particular Nursery! Now the so-called 'purple' Phlox have begun to open, and they are PINK! A dark pink, certainly, but nowhere near purple! I already have lilac ones, so I know you should be able to get dark lilac, if not really purple flowers.

I shall definitely ring them now. :-( Grrrr!!

Go for it Barbara, give em your best. :~))

Well, folks, I DID IT!!! I've just been on to a very helpful gentleman, who wants photos of the offending plants, and then will refund my money!

The 'excuse' was that they buy in the plants and get let down by their suppliers...well, at least he believed me and was very apologetic! :-)

Well done, I hate having to complain, if anything goes wrong, but if you don't then the other person doesn't get the chance to put it right. :~))).
Will you use this nursery again, now they have promised to put things right?

9 Jul, 2009

I think if you complain politely and with detail most companies will do their best to help - they rely on repeat customers.

well done Spritz and well done nursery....

I might ask for a credit note, so that I can choose from their catalogue - which had a good range of plants!
